Default PR Question

Once you have been issued PR cards..are your children's PR card independent from their parents?..If 1 or more of your children return home before fulfilling the 2 year requirement but the main applicant remains and renews their PR what happens to the children's status?

Yes that is one of the exceptions where you dont lose status but was not evident in your initial post. Make sure the company qualifies as a Canadian business as per that manual.

As in vacation time while you are working abroad for the Canadian company?
As long as you are employed by that company then all days working for them plus vacation time is ok.
If you left the job and stayed for example a further 6 months then I dont think the 6 months would be counted.

Unless you're a citizen, it won't count.
