i have just checked out the prices of the harley st medical Dr. (Medical @ Number One Health in Harley Street) who is recommended by CHC, but he wants just under £300 for meds and x ray. This seems, sorry is, somewhat expensive. Does anyone have any other more modestly priced advice in or around London?

We paid £160 per adult and £75 per child for medicals. The xrays were another £80 each - we completed our meds in Edinburgh. So in total for 2 adults and 2 children we paid £790!

We live in London and found that the cheapest and closest to us was the one in Thornton Heath, Surrey, near Croydon. We were there last week and happy with the service. Cost, Xray =£50 each and 4 Meds = £420.00 for 2 Adults and 1x 3 year old and 1x 2 year old. I hope this helps.

We're off to Thornton Heath in a few weeks time. Upminster is nearer but way more expensive and also very limited in terms of appointments.

The quickest appointment we've got yesterday is in Newcastle which will be on Thursday 26/03/09. Family of four. Fees: CXR (55x2) £110 Meds. Adult (135x2) £270 Child (85x2) £170 Grand total= £550. Hope that helps.
