Default PR and dual nationality application

We have just applied for PR via PNP (non EE on advice of PNP folk in BC) and land on my work permit in June
PR is for me and him indoors and our 3 children
The eldest has decided that due to risk of Brexit happening he wants to apply for Irish citizenship. We are all eligible to apply but never have. He is considering that he might want to study in Dublin from 2017 (he's doing his A levels here before we leave for Canada)
So does it matter from PR application perspective that he's apply for Irish/ dual nationality uk and Ireland and if so when do I tell CIC and who
Thanks.

It won't matter for PR purposes as Im assuming he holds a UK passport. If you put his citizenship down as British then he should use a UK passport when entering as a PR once you get the COPR forms.

Thank you. PR has been completed with our UK passports. I just wondered because they asked everything on the forms if they might want to do.
