Posting of a Bond to facilitate approval of Student visa
I am trying to help a friend to obtain a temporary resident visa so that he
can complete his studies in Canada. The visa was refused three timees even
though he had been admitted in a canadian school, the fee had been paid and
there was proof that he had plenty of money to cover all his expenses. The
reason givent is taht he had not convinced the visa officer that he would
returned to his country at the completion of his studies. He is now told
that if he or me can post a bond to guarantee that he will respect the
conditions of the legislation of Canada immigration, he might have a better
chance of getting the visa. I spoke to a lawyer about that and he confirmed
that there is such a provision -- the posting of a bond -- in the
legislation but he can't find any one in the Ottawa office of CIC to
explain how can make use of that provision. Could any experts help me with
on this regards. B. Brown
