Police Clearance - Please advise
Andrew Miller / Dear experts,
I have been residing in USA since 5 years(Indian citizen) and currently applying for Canada perminent residence in Buffalo, USA.
Do I have to submit all Police Clearances (FBI + native country) initially while applying in Buffalo, USA ? or it needs to be sent later after assessment(i.e only when Buffalo,USA office asks to submit Police Clearance documents).
Please advise.
Thanks

You can wait until they request from you or you can send it with your application. If you send it with your application you will buy yourself at least extra 2 months waiting time.

I believe that nowadays you must submit the PC documents up front.

I believe now a days you have to send it with the application. You can also obtain your police clearance certificate from Indian Counsulate in USA. I obtained from them it was hassle free and on time.

Friends who have recently filed PR (Dec 2004/Jan 2005), please confirm whether I have to submit Police clearances while submitting application? I saw the checklist of documents to be sent to Buffalo office, USA. There is mention about police clearance certificate as part of initial submission?.
Thanks again

Hi
Forget history, Buffalo now says you submit it upfront.

I can tell you are going to be one of the frustrated ones once you start the waiting stage
