Police Certificates
Hi Folks,
Am I correct in thinking that I do not have to send in police
certificates with my immigration application straight away? Page 28
of the Within Canada Spouse or Common-law partner class guide IMM
5289E(01-2004) says police certificates should not be obtained
before applying for immigration I am from the UK and one of the
countries listed not to get certificates first.
Thanks
Graham

Re: Police Certificates
hi,
i sponsored my wife in december, she is also from uk. we didnt send
the police certificate first with the application either. The
application was sent to CHC London in January and we just received a
letter from them requesting the police certificate. It also states
that it could take 3-6 months to review any incoming correspondence.
So I would suggest its better to send the police certificate with the
application in order to avoid any delay if they request it later.
