PNP Question (ON) Pregnancy
#1
Hi,
We are in the process of applying for Ontario PNP and we have just found out I am pregnant with twins. We are of course, over the moon about this but it has prompted some questions:
Our application will have my husband (main applicant who has job offer), me and our two daughters on there. However, I will have had the babies by the time we land and they wont be on our application.
Can anyone advise what we do in this situation? They wont be on our PNP app but will need to be included in the PR application. Is there somewhere to put an additional page or add some information?

You will either have to inform the visa office well in advance and await the births, then having to have them medically examined and added to the application. Or, you could spend the funds and have them born in Canada where they would automatically be Canadian citizens and not need to be added except in the form for listing other relatives.

We'll be in Canada on TWP waiting on the PR coming through. The medicals will be done in land when they are called for.
When we found out I was pregnant we thought the PNP acceptance would be here early next year (by end of March, going by their timescales) and I thought we'd have enough time to get there at that point and wait the 12 weeks for OHIP to kick in. However, with it being twins I am not prepared to have the additional stress of worrying if I might go in to early labour and not be covered and have to find about $15,000 to pay for their births - not accounting for any special care they may need at that point. So we'll wait until they arrive here and then go when they are 6 weeks old.
Can we send a case specific letter/contact when the babies get there to add them to our application?
Thanks for your response btw.

Hi
1. Once the children are born, then you can't just send a case specific email. You have to amend your applications to include the children, pay the fee, send copies of their passports, wait for medical instructions. Whatever you do, don't "land" if your COPR are issued without the children being added to your application.

If you were to come to on a TWP Canada I feel that you would also have medical insurance in the province's system which is very complete.

It takes 12 weeks for ohip to kick in. We will also have medical coverage for the waiting period for ohip.
The COPR wont be issued for a couple of years. We'll be coming on twps at the nomination stage. We'll be "landing" to activate the twp, sowp and the other kids study visas.
My question is how do we go about amending the pr application whilst whilst we're in land on twps?

If you are to have the birth outside Canada you will need to advise the visa office of the upcoming event before/before you receive your PR document and PR landing. They will send you information as to what forms and fees are required for the children. A new IMM0008 for sure and the extended family info form too. Medicals will be required and you might consider waiting until after the births to takes them yourselves.

You must notify CIC of any changes in your application, such as:
changes in your personal circumstances such as a birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce,
change in contact information (email, mailing address, phone number),
appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual, or,
decision to withdraw your application.
