Please advise
I applied to Singapore on June '01 and eclient status shows "In process". In the meantime, I got married and sent spouse documents to visa post. After receiveing the documents, Singapore sent me a letter to provide spouse processing fee 550.
I already sent. My questions are :
1. Will it delay processing?
2. Why CHC tell me to provide spouse processing fee, where as per new rules I am below to passmarks.
Please tell me your understanding.
Regards.

If you got married and sent the documents for your wife to the visa
offic they would have initiated the processing of her application and
they cannot proceed until the processing fees are received and then
they would look at her qualifications vis a vie meeting the new point
requirements and the adaptability points that might accrue to your
applicatio. The application may be delayed as she has to meet both
medical and criminal requirements and they cannot look at the passmark
and her effect on your point total until they have the fees. Rather
than wait in limbo with an 'in status' report you might want to access
your CAIPS notes from the Singapore office and see for yourself what
is going on with the file.
