Permanent Resident Card
Hello all,
I would need an information. I immigrated to Canada in April 1995 and for no reason hadn't applied for citizenship. I worked and lived in beautiful city of Vancouver, then, in 2001 i went to Bosnia where I'm originally from to visit my parents. Then I had an accident and stayed there to help my parents just with my presence, cause they are all by themselves. I had never thought of abandoning Canada my homeland, yet I experienced a lot of trouble in Bosnia (like my passport was stolen) and finally I am planning to come back this April. I went to Canadian Embassy and I was told that I meet residency obligation and I was issued a travel document. I am still more than 730 days in Canada in last 5 years. Now I was offered a 1 year long engagement with OSCE, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe working in its department for democratization which Canada is one of the original founders. I know that your days out of Canada spent in a canadian-based company are counted as days spent in Canada, so now I don't know what to do! I want to go to Canada, but this job is offered to me and I don't know if this company is considered to be 'a canadian one' - well, it's not, but Canada is one of its founders. I don't know who to ask and what to do. If anybody can come up with the appropriate information, I would immensely appreciate it.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Permanent Resident Card
You cannot use employment with OSCE to retain your residence status.

It's not a Canadian company. Sorry. You have to make up your mind...do
you want Canadian PR (and therefore will move to Canada) or do you want this
job? You can't have your cake and eat it too. Decision time, I'm afraid...
