Default Payment of TWP & other fees at POE - Calgary

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me how we pay the TWP fee at the POE at Calgary, would it be CAD or Card?

Also, our dogs fly over the following day after we have landed, would anyone know how we pay the destination charges for them, again would it be CAD or Card?

Many thanks

Julie

Too good to miss out on
This is Canada we deal in Canadian dollars.
POEs will accept Cad or US dollars in cash though the cashier will be pissed at you giving them USD. Most people use a credit card Visa, MC, AMEX and surprise surprise the fee is Canadian dollars.

Lol .. I gathered it would be CAD - sorry if I sounded simple there! ha ha

What I should have said was, could I either pay in CAD or use my British MasterCard.

Having a dumb day me thinks

Thanks Former Lancastrian

I think I should just take CAD with me and forget using my card to be on the safe side... I don't want any problems at POE!!

I was only weighing up my options....

On another note, am I right in saying I have to declare if I have more than 10k of Canadian Dollars on me.

Thanks again

We did a TWP at POE at Calgary,we paid a credit card, was a pre paid worldwide one,but you can pay cash.
Our dog arrived two days later and we paid the custom s fee when we picked him up,think its was around $30

Diolch Jamie!!!

was that recently then??

I also have a prepaid credit card, but think we will use Cash for both TWP fees and Destination fees.

How was your dog when he/she got there?

Our dog flew from Manchester and she was really happy when she got here - no ill effects at all. I was so worried about it but she was absolutely fine. Try not to worry too much.

That's good to know.

How has your settling in gone? You haven't missed much back here in Wales (Weather wise!)

We will pretty much miss the summer out there as were probably gonna fly in September
