Passports and Visa stamping
Does anyone know how long it takes after medicals for CIC to ask for your passport where the security checks have already been done?
Can anyone advise what would happen if you're not in the country who granted the visa when it's time to get your passport sorted out?? (I'm not referring to a 2 week holiday here)
Any help would really be appreciated.

This time is too variable to get anything but an average. Usuallty it takes
between 3 and 6 months but often is longer.

Jim, thanks. Does that include any time for security checks? I'm asking because our CAIPS notes tell me that they have already been done.

Re: Passports and Visa stamping
I guess you have your caips notes, and SEC STAT is 1? In my case, SEC
decision was made on the same date as the PS decision (selection
decision/interview waiver). I got the letter for passport stamping 3
months after the initial assessment. check your caips notes, the next
BF'D will be the date they send you that letter. assuming everything
else is done, i.e. medical/ROLF/background(CRIM STAT)/additional
documents
