Default Passport request time frame

Hey folks

I've just had my medical request and without getting carried away i'm trying to ensure that I dont mess everything up with traveling with work.

How long do I have once my passport request has come in to send it back ?

I'm estimating that once my meds are back 1 month to passport request (there doesn't seem to be an exact time but from others experience I think this seems fair?). That will fall whilst I am away with work for 2/3 weeks and i'm paranoid that i'll miss my slot.

Any advice/input appreciated

Tommy

Hi Tommy,

I'm assuming you're applying to London CHC?

Everyone's application process seems to take a random amount of time, depending on the individual processing officer.

For example, my PR medical on 3rd June 2008 (in BC) resulted in a passport request received on 29th August 2008. So just shy of 3 months.

My passport was couriered the next day to London, and I haven't seen it since.

I don't know if my case is typical, but you can scroll down and compare lots of applications on Trackitt:

http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immig...illed-workers/

I have a feeling you have a 90 day period to forward your passport once it is requested - maybe someone else can confirm this?

Hope this helps,

Sarah

Thanks folks, on re reading my own post I could have worded it a bit better, but your replies are exactly what I was after as I can now plan whats best for me and discuss it with my boss with a bit more info regarding timeframes.

Cheers!

We had 60 days to submit them from the date of the passport request letter.
