Hi Folks,

I'm a nures with positive LMO, got job offer in Calgary which i've accepted. I sent off TWP application form naming my common law partner as someone who'll be travelling with me, paid $150 each for application to be processed, the canadian embassy has sent the original paperwork back stating my partner has to apply seperatly for his own work permit - however, he doesn't have job lined up so it seems that most of the application form would be blank??
Does anyone know what to do? Do i send covering letter explaining the situation and would this be enough to satisfy them??

Also applied for criminal rehab - partner has drink driving offence from 1999 so will be considered spent next year acording to all the info on the Canadian embassy's web pages, however, London has sent it back stating we did not need to apply - does anyone know why this may be the case? I'm worried i'll send off the applications for work permits and they'll be returned again asking for application for criminal rehab stuff

We haven't received the TWP yet but OH has completed the medical so assume things are not far off.

With our initial application we also filled out a form for me that as you say was mainly blank as I do not have a job lined up. They appear to have accepted it as the only correspondence we have had since was to request police check and medical for OH.

We submitted two forms, one was virtually blank. Just make sure you cross reference with spouses application - think I put "spousal work permit" where you're meant to fill in job details.

Not sure on the criminal rehab - just do as they've told you.
