How did you come to know such thing? Did you get this information directly and
officially from CHC New Delhi or is it one of those gossips flying around from time
to time? I would strongly advise not to listen to any gossip.

From time to time visa post may concentrate on one group of applications = rather
than another. So instead of doing independents they may = concentrate on family. =20

During these periods it may be said that they have "stopped" = interviewing, but that
is a little misleading.

Dear prasad, you are absolutely correct. What these lawyers are saying is bookish. It
is absolutely correct that CHC, New Delhi has not interviewed any one who applied
either in or after july/ aug 1999.A group OF 15 people (excl me) who were working
with me who applied from New Delhi office in these months are still waiting for
interview.Since they are at Delhi and these people have gone frequently for checking
status of their application , they have been given this reply.I would also like to
add that few of them got waivers and already gone to canada.Mr Miller may say
something which is bookish and these are not rumours also but it is a fact. You
personally go to new delhi office and stand in a queue and also ask all other
applicants who are there.U will come to know the ground reality.Few lawers may also
come out with support with few examples that their clients got it.It may be under QA
OR under Pilot Project which was closed in the month of July 2001.But it is a fact
currently they are not interviewing those who applied under Independent category. If
any one wants to check out keep ur file no ready and dial 0172/716021/716024.This no.
is of chandigarh consulate and u can check status of ur application. But surprisingly
lawyers and consultants are unaware about it.

BBK. New Delhi.
