A week on and we are still shocked. We had our medical request letter through last thursday. We weren't expecting to get them for another 12months having received a letter from the immigration dept 2 weeks earlier to say we will hear within 12 months if not heard after 8 months contact them. Then 2 weeks later through our letter box pop's the med requests. We are still on cloud nine. We only started our process at the end of April (this year) and it's all happening so fast, which is great. We now have 60 days to book our medical.
Hopefully we will be in Canada for Chrimbo 2010!

Anyone got any advice for the medicals or anything we need to know?

Drink plenty of water and lay off the booze for a good 48hrs before your meds and try relax during your exam, you may find it a benefit to have you blood pressure checked prior to having your meds 140/90 or below you should be fine.

I am sure that I read somewhere on a previous thread to also lay off sugary things as that sends your blood sugar levels up...

We've just received ours through the post too! Fantastic start to the new year!! Shall be on the phone first thing tomorrow to get them booked in! Can't believe how quickly it's all happening! Just hope these go smoothly too now! Good luck everyone else with your tests

Cambridge, Ontario as we have family there!! It's great as you have someone who has been through the same process but can still help you out! My Uncle has been brilliant!

We fly out mid March so not long now, especially as we have our wedding anniversary, my 40th birthday before physically moving! Removals come out Feb 8th. What a brill year it will be!!
