Default novice, can you help

I am new to this Forum and wanted to ask a question that may be too huge to answer. I partially understand Australian immigration, how does it work for Canada? I am 35, have a degree as a primary school teacher.

Would I stand a chance at getting a visa?

How long would it take?

I know this is a bit of a dense question but I am just beginning to find out information.

Thanks for your help.

PS The information below explains our Australian application. We are now considering Canada.

First try the CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/

Look under immigrate...skilled worker. There is a PDF for Download and a self assessment tool for the point system,

Good luck

That is actually pretty tight. Make sure you document everything meticulously and dont take any chances. I have read on ths forum that people frequently overestimate their points, particularly in education, work experience and language, so be carefull.

Good luck
