No stamp in passport?
OK so I know I am old (fashioned) and that everything is probably cloud based but I was rather surprised that I have no stamp in my passport or in fact any physical acknowledgement of my entry into Canada and/or how long I am allowed to stay.
My Canadian wife and I (UK citizen - PR application massively delayed by Covid hasn't even made it into the system yet 3 month on) arrived in Vancouver on the 23rd and I entered under dual intent. I typed 180 into the automated machine but beyond that there was no discussion or acknowledgement of how long I can stay and no stamp or other document.
Do I just work on the basis that I have 180 days because no one said anything else?

Yes. The machine registered your entry date. I suggest about 40 days before your 180 days expire you then apply for an extension if PR hasn't come through.
