Hi all,
I am new here having just found this newsgroup. I am interested in finding
out what the process is for having my girlfriend move here from Thailand (of
which she is citizen). We are planning to get married, and considering
either or both Thai & Canadian wedding(s). We are not currently engaged.
We do want to do everything as correctly, and effectively, as possible.
She has not been to Canada yet, but is planning to come here for visit in
October to see what see thinks of Canada (it might turn out that I will try
to move to Thailand). We are planning to get engaged at that time.
What is best course of action, and where should I be looking for
information. I am aware of www.cic.gc.ca but still not clear what proper
steps to take. Should we get engaged or married first? Or should I apply
to sponsor her as my conjugal partner?
I know I am asking a lot here but any help, or pointers in right direction,
will be appreciated.
Thanks,
G.
