NEW PR Card
I landed in Canada in May 2001. Since it is less than 2 yrs,
I can not fill Section F of the new PR card. I have to fill out
Section G.
I got all copies certified as true copy by a accountant working in
my office who is authorized to certify copies. However I am not
sure (and neither is that accountant) whether she is authorized
to sign in lieu of Gurantaor.
This is what Section G of the PR card says:-
" This section must be declared before, and signed by, a
qualified official who has the authority to administer
an oath. (A Commissioner, Notary Public or person
authorized by law to administer oaths in all matters
or in the jurisdiction in which it is subscribed.)
"
Besides Commissioner, Notary public who else authorized by
law to administer an oath.
thanks.

Unless s/he is a lawyer, it is unlikely that she can administer oaths. Go
to either a notary or a lawyer and get it done.

Re: NEW PR Card
Hi Sanjay,
I went to City Hall in Ottawa to use one of their commissioners of oath.
Worked fine for me when I needed to get my passport for my infant daughter.
I also was in your same boat, I arrived in November 2000 and have not been
here long enough. Try your city hall. Also, I found out that my MMP was also
a commissioner of oath.. He signed for my daughters birth certificate and
did it free of charge. The city charged something like 15 dollars.
Best of luck!
