Default new graduate with past experience !!

hi all,
i have a friend who has just graduated from
university. he studied business administration.
on the other hand he has 12 years experience as a
director for food company. he wants to immigrate to canada.
the question can he be qualified as skilled worker?
does the 12 years experience before graduation count?
( may be some of the years can be counted as part time
working "parallel to years of studying", and hence
half of the years number of experience)
please advise me,
thanx in advance,
eyad

For me my work sponsored me during my undergraduate degree on day release so I counted all the years of work both before and after graduation.

As long as the work experience is at the relevant level and type and in the last 10 years it counts.

In terms of point with 4 or more years experience the points are the same.

How many of the 12 years can be counted?

Did he work full-time? if not I believe there is a need to look at the last 10 years in terms of it's equivalence to a full time job.

If he worked full-time for 12 years then spent 4 years getting a degree, then up to 6 of those years should count provided they're in a suitable NOC class.

Looks like you have many different "friends" you are trying to "help" with their immigration problems. Are you trying to learn immigration business here?

hi Andrew,
if u r intrested in doing business, many people i know r intrested in obtaining PR to canada through the arranged employment route. That is to gain points+ to secure a job that they can work in as soon as they land in canada to help them established.
