hiya all,

if you look at my timeline, we had medicals on the 6th April and are still waiting...................the latest is that our "legal specialists" in Canada have faxed the CHC on the 19th July and we still have no news,

Can we approach the CHC ourselves or is this not a done thing......any advice most welcome......

Either your background is so complex that it takes long time to do security check or your "legal specialist" didn't do too great job preparing your application as timeline indicates.

CHC will not respond to you if you mail or fax anything - they will only respond to your appointed representative. But you may try your luck and visit CHC in person.

Thanks for your reply, i'm not aware there are any problems, the CHC requested a second police check and the medical reports for all 4 of us, which all went well, its just that when you are quoted that your reply would be between 2-3 months , it gets you frustrated..................as for your comments about our legal team , everything seems to have occurred pretty much as they have said, but i suppose they could be holding back, if i named them would you have an idea to how good they are...........don't get me wrong i'm not about to start a witchhunt or anything but you probably know how good certain companies are..........

If I was you I would travel to CHC in London to enquire. My medical was done March 31st and after waiting about 8 weeks I still hadn't heard anything so went to London. They dug my file out there and then and handed me the passport request. Just make sure you get to Grosvenor Square for about 7.15am as there will be a queue. I've now been living in Toronto for over 3 weeks so it was definitely worth a trip. Out of interest are you from Bradford? Thats where I'm from as well.
Ben.

I agree, ............ as i suggested before, going in person is the best way.

It may be that your passport request is simply held up for some reason, but it would be tragic if they have sent it and you have not received it, as your time to respond will be ticking away! Or maybe it's just there under the desk waiting for someone to send it........ they are VERRRRRY busy you know......

Just a question regarding visiting CHC london, would you go when you have had medicals and at PR stages of the process or go and see what on earth is happening to your file if your waiting to hear date exceeds the AOR timeline.
