my interview experience
hi
i has my interview at LA and thisis how it went.
after a polite inteoduction, the officer asked a few simple questions. thereafter it was like facing a firing squad. even job interviews would be simpler. he was hell bent on proving that i lacked iniciative and had inadquate skills not considering that i had applied on my own in a foreign country. it isn't very easy meeting their specs when appying abroad.
he ended by saying that they would get in touch with me. so i donot know whether my case was approved or not. i am not very hopeful.
i hope others have a more pleasant interview.
bye

What was the name of the officer. Be prepared for a refusal.

Badluck Sansan,
Even for me also the same intro was very friendly after that officer went asking techincal Qs infact i almost answered them but the problem is these officers used to refer the books and Question us and they expect the same answer as it is in book i had a tuff time explaining the IT stuff after 1.15hrs finally he was still not satisfied but by the time i have given up hopes on going through and finally i also reacted bit harsh telling tht the questions u r asking are techincall stuff and it is diff to expain or make it understandable to non-technical guy so on,finally i made him agreed on this point and he finally he said he will approve my case ....even i too felt job interview wld be easier than what i went through 4 months back..
Good luck to others who are waiting for interview...

hi boon
it feels nice to know that i alone was not singled out for this treatment. i was so dejected and speechless after my interview. could not figure out what was the officer's motive.
my only concern is that the officer didnot say anything on my case being approved. so i just have to wait for their letter.
u mentioned your interview was 4 months ago. what is ur status now?

sansan, don;t be too discouraged. we had a much worse interview than you did (believe it or not). The girl that interviewed us was rude, uninformed and mumbled a lot - in fact so much that each time she said anything we had to ask her to repeat it. We were utterley convinced that this humiliation would lead to a reject but no...here we are in 33 degrees of heat and blazing sunshine...boy life is good. We too thought for a long time we'd not make it so keep your spirits up (yeah, I know it's easier said than done!)
Let us know how you get on.
