Mr. Miller, Where from I should apply?
Hello
I am in IT field, and decided to apply for Canadian immigration (I know IT market is down at present there - but I hope after a year or two when I shall get the PR situation might change). I have calculated my points to be 78-80.
I am an Indian citizen but currently residing in UK on work permit (last 7 months). I don't know how long I will be in UK - my estimate is that I shall be in UK for next 1 year also. But after that time, I may not be in UK.
Now my question is, where from I should apply - New Delhi or London?
How long will it take to process from these two places (under new system)?
Suppose, I apply from New Delhi (or London). After a year, if I am in USA (or elsewhere) and if I am called for interview/medical/passport submission, do I have to come physically in the country where I applied???
I eagerly wait for your advice.
Thank you.

There is no record yet of cases concluded under new law, so nobody can
really say anything about processing times. Interview (if required) will be
conducted by visa post processing the case and passport will have to be
submitted there too for visa to be affixed.

Thank you very much for replying.
So, you think applying from New Delhi will be better bet for me? Also, I made an enquiry to CHC London and they said that since London is not responsible for processing of Indians, I may apply there but it may take more than normal processing time.
