Default Mr. Miller please help

I had applied for Canadian immigration almost 2 years back and I got the passport request from Buffalo office( I am in Toronto on student visa) last month. I sent it and now they have come back to me saying that my passport is damaged and that they won't stamp visa on this passport. There is no other information given with it and to me the passport looks in perfect shape. I got the Canadian visa stamped from Detroit office 3-4 months back and after that I had not taken out the passport from my bag. I had sent the passport to Buffalo last week, through courier service.

Now what do I do? I am an Indian. Should I get a new passport made up here in Toronto? Would that not eliminate my other visas(10 year multiple entry US visa, Canadian student vsia)? I am not sure. please help....

Regards
Raman

Get new passport and if your government will allow keep your old passport as
well. Study permit is a separate piece of paper, so nothing to worry. Plus
you won't need it anyway once you become a PR.

Thanks Mr. Miller,

I appreciate your help in this regard. But I am wondering whats wrong with my passport? It is in the same shape it was before. I sent it by post from Canada....did they do anything on the border. If they did, then should I send it again through post?

Thanks and regards,

Raman
