Mr. Miller - NF timelines?
Mr. Miller, you mentioned in your post that everybody who has applied for a
PNP in the past 18 months has to wait several times longer than usual, due
to the increased number of PNP applications and the provinces' inability to
deal with them promptly.
So, do you know what are the approximate waiting periods at this point? I
am sure somebody who applied 18 months ago (or less) has already been
contacted in one way or another by the provincial government.

Re: Mr. Miller - NF timelines?
It is not Provinces inability really - it is the very low annual quota of
certificates they have. Most Provinces with PNP programs can issue just few
hundreds of certificates per year and if they have few thousands of
applications then you may easy guess what is happening. Due to the flood of
applications most PNP programs (including the largest PNP program in
Manitoba with 1,000 certificates per year) now grant selection certificates
almost exclusively to those with guaranteed job offer in the Province.
Certificates are granted on first come first serve basis - so, if such are
issued for the particular year then no more applications will be processed
till the following year. Thus speculating about processing time is simply
pointless as all certificates for 2003 are already granted while ago and no
more applications will be processed till 2004.
