Mr Miller or Mr Humphries please advise - health insurance
I am landing in Vancouver in early August. I have a quick question
regarding medical insurance - it says I am not eligible for health
care for 3 months after I land. The company I will be working for (who
I have worked for under temporary work visas for the past 3 years)
pays my BC medical insurance for me. So does this mean I will still be
ineligible even though I have it already? Just want to make sure I'm
not wasting money unnecessarily - will this cause problems when I land
if I explain the situation to an immigration officer?
Thanks for your help

It doesn't matter who pays your insurance premiums - normally your coverage
kicks in after the third calendar month from establishing residency in BC.
You are already a resident and have active health coverage, so you don't
need to worry - just notify Health Services about change of your status.
