Mr Miller, I would appreciate you guidance.
Mr. Miller, your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I am a US citizen looking to move to Calgary to be with my girlfriend. I work in the computer field as a network administrator, but currently do not have work arranged in Canada. By not having arranged work in Canada, I do not meet the 75 pts needed to optain a 'Skilled Worker' status. My other option entering Canada would be as a landed immigrant. Can you advise me on what would be the best way for me to enter Canada? Once in Canada I would like to start working immediately, if possible.
Thank You for taking your time, and for your response.

There is no "other option ... as a landed immigrant". "Skilled Worker" is just
one of the immigration categories when applying for PR visa (formerly "landed
immigrant status"). If you don't have enough points without pre-arranged
employment the there is nothing you can do. If you want to be able to start
working as soon as you enter Canada then you must do it either as approved as a
PR or with work permit - no other way around. There may be some possibility to
use your relationship with your girlfriend if such relationship is long enough,
serious and real enough - please contact me directly.
