Default Mr.Miller/Experts - Question of Adding New Born Baby

Dear Mr.Miller/Other Experts,

I and my wife have been asked to do medical. However, my wife is currently
pregnant and is giving birth next month.
I have notified Buffalo about the circumstance and we will wait until the
baby is born so that we can do all our medical
together. However, in order to receive the medical form for the baby, I will
need to send the detail information of the baby.

Questions:
1. I am assuming I will have to send the passport copy of the baby as soon
as is born.
According to the CIC rule, is baby required to have its own passport
regardless of the age? Can I just add the baby into
my wife's passport and send the copy of wife's passport page which has baby
information to Buffalo?
I don't know about other countries, but in my home country, small childs
(less than 2 years age) or moreover a baby
usually follows mum's passport.
Honestly, I never saw a baby with its own passport and have not inquired
whether my home country can issue such a passport.

2. Is the photo specification for the baby same as for the adult as
specified in the CIC website? New born baby sleeps all the time,
I am assuming the picture will be showing a sleeping baby in close-up face?

Regards
