I am Thai living in Thailand. I applied Canadian PR through CHC in Singapore since
Nov 2000. On 27 Dec 2000, I got acknowledgement of receipt which tells me file number
and payment receipt (Independent takes about 15-27 months). The letter itself was
dated on 22 Nov 2000 and payment receipt dated on 24 Dec 2000. I applied under
intended occupation as computer programmer. However, my position at first company was
titled as 'system analyst' and the second company (at the time I lodge the
application) was 'data management support engineer'. I wrote in the employment
history block for these two companies as computer programmer because my actual duties
and responsibilities were programming. At the time, I submitted application I send

- Application form
- Processing fee + ROLF
- 8 photographs
- original police clearance
- original letter from previous employer
- original letter from current employer (at that time)
- professional training certificates (Oracle & Informix database training courses)
- copy of first page of my passport
- birth certificate (translated) + copy of original
- copy of bachelor's degree in computer science (translated)
- copy of university transcript
- original letter from bank which stated amount of money in local currency which is
compared to canadian dollars ... about $15,000

In Jan 2001, I quit the company. I asked my supervisor to write me reference letter.
Then, in middle of Feb 2001, I submitted this letter (original) along with my resume,
previous copies of previous visitor visa (US, UK and Australia), and TOEFL (578
points - 1999).

In May 2001, I submitted letter of employment from new company (system analyst)

Followings are my question
1. Do I must really wait 15-27 months ? It is already 8 months from the first letter.

2. In the last page of the application form regarding to disclose my information to
others (individual, canadian firm ...). I signed and dated on this part. I wrote
under "individual option" my senior colleague name and company address. But right
now, she quit from the company. Do I need to inform CHC ? Is it serious for
writing in this part?

3. Will Supplementary documents sent afterward slow down the process ? Does officer
requeue my file to the end of the queue or still at the same place ?

4. Intended occupation and filled employment history as computer programmer, but
reference letters stated as system analyst. Can this cause the problem/delay?

5. What do you think about my overall case ?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance.
