I have a couple of friends who are married and have just got their COPR form Buffalo. One of the names of my friends is not well written as the last 3 letters of his second name are missing. They also got a letter saying that they should make sure that their names are spelled correctly. So they faxed them pointing out the problem and askinf for directions but they haven't got any replied.

1) Should they wait for an answer or they can go to the border anyway if it takes too long to reply?
2) how long would it take them to reply?
3) Is there anything else they can do?
4) has anybody been in this situation and can give me some input?

They are planning a trip outside Canada and they need to get the PR card before they leave.
