Might be irrelvant Question to this NG
Hi everyone,
I am an immigrant and my brother in Pakistan is going to help me to purchase a house
here in Toronto and he is planning on sending me CND$30,000 for a down payment. Would
the tax man take part of this money from me?

There shouldn't be any tax consequences, but you might want to check with your
bank to make sure there are no problems transferring the money from one country to
the other.
