Default Medicals: what to expect?

I've been browsing around the forum and searching and I can't find anything on what to expect from the medical exam, can anyone please enlighten me? We were asked to get the tests done today so our FSW application is going through pretty quick!

Do they take bloods? A urine sample? My husband won't be happy me saying this but he can't go under pressure which has caused problems when applying for jobs with mandatory drugs testing...

Thank you, and sorry if this is mentioned a ton of times already...

Yup, you will have blood taken, urine sample and x-rays.
Blood pressure, physical exam (listening to heart and breathing etc.) and a fairly in-depth discussion about any medical history you have.
If you do have any ongoing medical conditions and receive any specialist treatment it is a good idea to have any reports or anything to take with you if you can.

A google search for " DMP handbook" will get you to the instructions the doctor follows.

There are some minor variations but its nothing too bad!

If your husband loads up on water an hour before the urine sample, I'm sure he will 'manage'...

Are you in Canada or outside Canada?

We've recently had medicals in Canada and my youngest daughter had hers in the UK.

Depending on the Panel Doctor, your medical might require visits to 2 or 3 different locations.

Our medicals required three (Doctor, blood and urine, X-ray), two of which were different providers in the same building as each other (blood+urine and X-ray), but still 10 minutes drive from the Doctor.

My daughter's required her to take a taxi across Glasgow.

Some may all be in one location, but I doubt it.

Bear this in mind when loading up on water. I had to pee before I got to the urine test

Has anyone ever had a problem because they are on antidepressants due to mild depression as a result of post natal depression? Would this cause you to fail??
