Medicals taken late May.......still waiting!!!!!
Is this the norm? If so what generally happens next.

Again, this is high season for visa offices with many student and TWP applications to process, topped with vacation season and posting in and out of officers. You should hear soon once the rush is over.

We are also living in Canada on TWPs. We had our medicals on 2 June 2008, and had our passport request letter last Friday (29 August).
There's loads of variability as each case worker is different. We may have speeded up the process a bit by persuading the doctor to send our results direct to London, and not via Ottawa as they normally do for in-Canada PR applications. Who knows? There's a lot of variables!
Our passports will be with them in London by next Friday. We'll see how long the next step takes!

Think Mrs Miggins down here is still waiting for her PPR's too (she hasnt posted otherwise) and from memory she is about the same date as you.
