Medical/Travel Insurance
Has anyone researched 90 day medical/travel insurance. We can only find Canadasure.
Not sure that they are what we are looking for. Exclusions are quite prohibitive.
We will be landing in Calgary and holidaying in BC. If we apply for our SIN and
Altberta Health Care before we go to BC, would we need additional health cover?
Clearly we should consider flight and baggage insurance?

We are three in my family (2 adults and 1 child). Last year we landed in Ontario and
bought 90 days health insurance from Liberty Health. We paid $
530.00, found OK. Though during those 3 months we rarely needed any medical attention
except 1 visit to a GP by our daughter (cost $70.00 including medication) and we
got that reimbursed without any problem. Check them out.

If you're going to be travelling to BC, you'll want to sign up for an "out of
province" health care plan, which will take care of any medical expenses you incur
while on holiday. This is quite reasonable (mine is $59.00 per year) and can be
purchased through most any insurance agent, the auto club, blue cross, etc.
