Medical help!
Hello,
I have recently completed my medical exam with my partner for canada and on my chest x-ray the radiologist ticked yes for "any evidence of tuberculer lesions" writing "tiny opucity at lung base in right middle lobe. Most likely represents old granuloma. No acute/active abnormality seen" and on the second page the section ticked 3.1 (minor findings occasionally associated with TB infection) solitary granuloma <1cm and of any lobe with unremarkable hilum.
Basically i am worried this could halt our plans, has anyone else had anything like this?
How long have people recently waited after submitting medicals for a response from London?
Any other advice or info will be greatly appreciated!
Roberto

Re: Medical help!
This is not uncommon and there have been a couple of postings lately on here from people who have had a similar result. I also had almost the exact same report on my medical in 2005.
You will be sent a letter requiring you to make arrangements to undergo TB testing, having sputum tests or skin test or blood tests, have another xray and see a chest specialist. It's all extra money and will delay things a little whilst the testing is being done, getting an appointment and then the results are sent to CIC Medical division for assessment.. and another wait for them to make a decision.
Here are some other threads on the subject for you to look at:

I am happy in a way i am not the only one, i just hope it is easily and quickly resolved but not likely knowing my luck.
How long did you have to wait for the response after your medical? It has been 5 weeks since they received our results.
