London (Immigration) - there goes the progress. Foreign Service officers not involved in Management will be on strike it seems.

In the past there would have been compulsory arbitration but now we can only pray for a quick settlement.

Are they even on strike?! There is next to nothing on information on this matter anywhere. There are a few references to Mexico but in regards to london - nothing. I have even searched twitter and can't find anything...I guess we just wait and hope someone on any forum hears something this week suggesting they are still working on applications......
I felt I was just at the finish line, that there may have been a light at the end of the tunnel for us....guess not

Sorry, but I must ask this stupid question:
I assume the London staff involved in this dispute (and those that may go/are on strike) are those that would process FSW PR applications?

They have been on a work-to-rule since April, which has affected all offices (including London). They are now doing selective strikes (withdrawal of service) at 6 specific sites (not London). They have agreed to suspend action as of 31st May as a gesture of goodwill in light of negotiations starting on June 3rd.

Are the Ottawa based immigration staff that would process FSW PR applications part of this? I note the immigration is specifically mentioned for London, but it's not mentioned for HQ/Ottawa.
Are the staff in Ottawa for processing these applications doing anything strike related, or work to rule related?
I'm sure this will be a simple question for someone!
Thanks in advance,
Graham.

In addition, all remaining PAFSO members are engaged in the eighth week of a work-to-rule campaign at headquarters and posts abroad.

Yes, ALL offices have apparently been work-to-rule.
