Default March 2002 applicant....need advice from experts(specially Mr. Miller)

Hi All,

I have a simple question. First I want to give my application
timeline....applied for PR in March 2002 at buffalo under skilled
worker category, I received my initial assessment result in July 2003
and I was told to do medical and RCMP checking and I was also told to
send few more documents
and I did accordingly. My e-client status was changed to "decision
made" during the last week of october. So I faxed buffalo asking about
the decision and then they again changed it to "in process". Recently
I emailed RCMP about my case and they told me that they sent my result
to buffalo on January 7. Now my e-client status was again changed to
"decision made" last monday, and that the office would contact me
regarding the decision.......

Now what should I do? Should I ask them about my status again and
about how long will it take for me to get the PP request letter?
Actually I am a bit worried because my initial assessment result was
actually mailed to my old mailing address although I have tried to
change my address. After that I have sent address/change fax few
times, but I have not received anything for the last 7 months. So
there is no way I can know that they will send mail to my current
mailing address. So I am just thinking whether I should let them know
again that I haven't received anything. If you think I should, then
how long should I wait before doing it.

Please let me know your thought about it......

Thanks

"Decision made" applies to any decision made during the process. As you can
see e-client showed "decision made" when system was updated with medical
decision. Now it seems that system got updated with criminal check decision
(after RCMP clearance was received). Be patient - asking for status won't
help, it will only slow down process for everybody.

Mr. Miller....thanks for the reply.

Well I am wondering why my aplication should still be in process.
Isn't this "decision made" means the final decision has been made. I
know there can
still be a background checks, but do you think it can take so long? I
am a citizen of Bangladesh and the only other country I stayed for
more than six months is canada, where I am staying right now as an
international student. After the final decision, is there possibility
of more delay or the officer asks for the PP straightaway?

Thanks

Agasin and again, decision made means that a decision has been made, there
are many decisions to be made. Even were it the final decision it would not
say so. You'll have to guess, sad to say, its not a very helpful system.

As I already wrote many times - "decision made" can mean any decision made
during the process and there are quite a few to be made.

Unfortunately background/security check for nationals of Bangladesh takes
anywhere between 6 months to well over a year to conclude.

But, you still don't know how many and what "decisions" can be made
totally during the whole process, do you?

Hi,
I am also in the same situation about the address change. My e-client has also changed to "decision made" since last dec. You should check on the e-client as my new address is showing on the e-client. If it is showing new address, then no need to send the fax to them again.. about the address change.
