Default LMO who applies?

I have been in contact with a salon in Edmonton AB, I have been offered a position and passed there requirements. I then get an email from a company called High Level solutions inc, CEO of the salon passed on my details and it says

"We look forward to discuss your LMO application and Work Permit. If you would like to process the application, please let me know.
Please contact me if you have any questions or I can provide any additional information."

I have sent an email back trying to get more info from them. Why I wait a reply I thought I would get feedback from you all.

Is it up to me or the company to get an LMO and I thought the work permit could only be got at point of entry if outside Canada or in the embassy in your country!!! Am I wrong.
Basically just don't want to be taken for a ride. I'm calling the company CEO to get clarification tonight

Please advise thanks.

It is up to the company to apply for and obtain an LMO. Once they have, then you can use that to obtain a TWP at the port of entry.

The company will have to prove that they have advertised the position nationally for 4 weeks.

You can read more here: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Work_Permit_Steps-Canada

These are the steps they will have to follow: http://www.esdc.gc.ca/eng/jobs/forei...al/index.shtml - look under recruitment and advertising tab for what they need to do to show they have met the requirements.

I would check with the salon that they are paying all fees and that you are not expected to pay High Level Solutions for their service.

1. It is up to the company to get the LMO, if they want to pay High Level solutions inc to do it for them, then they pay High Level solutions inc
