LMO Prlocessing moving to Toronto,Montreal
Seems as though this may not have been posted, so thought I'd let everyone here know:
CIC have issued Operational Bulletin 433 - in essence this announces that after June 15, LMO applications for Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut must be submitted to Toronto - applications for other Provinces and Territories i.e. Quebec, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador should be directed to the Montreal office after June 15, Moncton LMO applications and enquiries should be directed to Montreal with immediate effect.
Existing LMO applications in Vancouver and Calgary are not affected.

Hi
Note it is not the processing of the LMOs at the two sites, that is still a HRSDC function. What is "that questions regarding Opinions and enquiries related to Labour Market Opinion (LMO) and/or Work Permit (WP) exemptions will continue. Outreach will no longer be provided by the TFWUs. "

So you are saying that this only relates to providing an opinion as to whether a specific work permit application would be LMO exempt, or whether a work permit is not required for a specific job?

Hi
Yes, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/em.../tfw-units.asp
"The TFWU offers guidance to employers and/or their authorized representatives seeking to employ foreign workers. Please note that the TFWU WILL NOT RESPOND to enquiries coming from other sources or foreign workers themselves."
