He needs to apply for the Labour Market Opinion. For this he needs to show that he has advertised the job across Canada and been unable to find a Canadian willing, or able, to do the job. So proof of adverts, plus info on who has applied and why they are not suitable (and of course, info on why you *are* i.e. that you have the requisite experience/qualifications).

LMO's are currently taking around 12-16 weeks at the moment. Once you've got the LMO, you can then apply for your Temporary Work Permit.

Yes, that's correct. Once you've got your LMO and written job offer, you'd take that to the border and get your TWP.

It depends on the job, what exactly is it?

HTH.

Why do you have a criminal record? BSOs at the border might ask about a criminal record but copies of such are not mandatory.
