Letter from CIC Buffalo requiring the documents
We have received a letter from CIC a week ago states as follows:
================== START OF THE LETTER
===================================
Dear Mr. Ravi,
This refers to your application for admission to Canada. Your
application is still under active consideration. However, before we
can conclude your case, we require the complete results of you and
your spose's medical examination(s), Instructions for which were
issued to you some time ago, along with the police certificate the
USA,issued by the FBI for you and your spouse, updated letter of
reference, proof of fund, W-2 income stement, copy of pay stub, copy
os spouse's diploma, and the right of permanent residence. If you
have not yet undergone the examination or any additional tsts that may
have been requested, please arrange to do so as soon as possible in
accordance with our previous onstructions.
As soon as you have been medically examined, please complete the
bottom portion of this letter and return it to us so that we can
monitor the medical examination assessment. If we do not receive a
response to this letter WITHIN THE NEXT SIXTY DAYS, we will assume
that you are no longer interested in pursuing your application and
will refuse your application accordingly.
Date of Exam:
Name of physician:
Date medical reports sent to Ottawa:
================== END OF THE LETTER
===================================
Here are my details:
Application Sent to CIC, Buffalo: April 2002
Received AOR: October 2002
This letter: Febrauary 2004
Our questions:
1. We have not received any medical instructions from CIC, should we
request for the same? The DMP out here (Houston, TX) said that they
would need Instructions "A" from CIC
2. What is "right of permanent residence" means?
3. What is " updated letter of reference" means?
4. Is this letter means that the interview waived and positive?
Experts please advice on these questions. We greatly appreciate your
assistance in this matter.
Thank you.

Re: Letter from CIC Buffalo requiring the documents
Did you change address and didn't notify Buffalo in time? This could explain
why you haven't received medical forms. Notify Buffalo immediately about the
fact that you never received medical forms or anything else since AOR letter
and ask for forms.

Re: Letter from CIC Buffalo requiring the documents
Ravi,
Same happened with us also. In our case they just requested for the
medicals. Since we never received the medical papers from them so
I immediately faxed (and mailed) to them stating the same.
You should contact them and ask for the med papers. I received my
papers after 1 month of request.
thanks,

Thanks for the response. Actually, we have not changed our address
and we are living in the same place. I have faxed the Buffalo
requesting the medical instructions. In your case, did they waived
the interview?

what does "updated" letter fo reference mean? Does it mean that we
have to get
the reference letters of all past employers (some of which i have
already provided dueing lodging the application) or it means the
reference letters from the employers for whom we worked for since
lodging the application (and are therefore not updated yet in the
application)

Re: Letter from CIC Buffalo requiring the documents
Its a month now and we haven't received the medical instructions from
IRPS, Buffalo. I faxed and mailed them my request. I also provided
my Fax Number and FedEx Account Number. In your case did they mailed
the instructions or faxed? Thanks for the response.
