Hi !!

Can anyone post the latest processing times for the independent skilled worker
category (self+spouse)? If I submit my completed application on, say, 1st Oct,
approx. how long do I have to wait to get the approval?

I know there are several variables (background checks, etc.). I just need a fairly
general idea, factoring in all delays and processing times.

TIA

All depends from your nationality, country of residence, visa post you will be
applying through, way the application with all documents is prepared and presented,
how well you are meeting selection criteria and many other factors. Entire process
may take anywhere from 6 - 9 months to well over 30 months.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry, should have provided more information:

Nationality: Indian Country of residence: USA Processing post: Buffalo

I am meeting the selection criteria because I am scoring more than the
minimum points.

Can you narrow it down any further? I really hope it won't be anything like
30 months.

Many thanks.

Indian nationals who reside in the US for quite some time with H1 or other legal
status are usually processed in Buffalo within 9 - 12 months if interview is waived.
In the case interview will be required then processing time may be at least 4 to 6+
months longer.

I applied in South Africa. The embassy has stated that my application has been
approved but that they have no more quota for this year. According to them the
earliest I would get my PR visa would be about 31 months after application.
