Default Language Proof

Hi again

So I'm trying to figure what we need for language proof for our citizenship.

I'm asking if my Scottish secondary school qualifications would cover this?

Cic states " completed secondary or post secondary programs in English or French " as one form of proof.

I stayed in school till 6th year, and have SVQ certificates of ( maybe showing my age here ) highers and standard grade qualifications.

Has anyone used these or similar as proof of language, or know if they are acceptable for this process.

Thanks

1, Yes, but you would need a letter from the school or the school board equivalent that the mode of instructions was in English. (Hope it wasn't in Scottish)

My recommendation to anyone who is in any doubt as to whether their language proof might be acceptable, or would have to jump through lots of hoops to get that proof, is to do CELPIP LS (or General).

https://www.celpip.ca/

It's better than having your application returned.

I'm in the same boat - I was wondering though if that was necessary if one of the subjects studied/passed and listed on the certificate was English (higher level). Would seem kind of ridiculous to need proof in that case (but still wouldn't surprise me)
