Landing in Quebec and moving to another province
A question that is frequently discussed in one of the forums I
participate in:
For people who have applied for Quebec, do they have problems if they
decided to go and settle in any other part of Canada?
In Argentina the whole process to get the CSQ, and then the final
approval in the part of the province of Quebec is much shorter than
the Federal plan. During my process under the Federal plan I was
repeatedly told by some people to "change" the plan, so I could get
the papers faster. My whole process took 2 years and 1 month, and I
have even been studying french for an year and a half, but... I have
always thought -as I didn't really read anything that prevented people
from doing that- that first of all, we wanted to go to Ontario, and
then that perhaps it was a legal, but also a not-so-ethical thing to
do, if the person was actually planning to end up in a different
province and not in Quebec.
I think the only thing I read about this situation had to do with
having some problems to get the Canadian Citizenship if you landed in
Quebec and after a while you changed your destination...

Quebec's immigration screening has no impact on your final destination
in Canada. You can even land wherever you like (unlike not having CSQ
and landing in Quebec ... you have to have proof you're going on to
Ontario)

That's a nonsense. Where you land has nothing to do with your
eligibility for citizenship or where you can apply.
