Landing City and Address....
Hi Andrew/PMM/Jim,
I am planning to land in Vancouver (which is closer to where I live in USA) this month and permanently move to Toronto after two months. I am planning to give my friend's address in Toronto for PR card mailing etc. Will that be a problem? Also will I be able to apply for SIN when I am in Vancouver?

No problem at all as long as you are not giving address in Quebec.
You'll need BC address if you want to apply for SIN in Vancouver. But why you want to do it in the first place?
You don't need SIN when abroad. It won't help you keep your PR status in any way. Apply for it once you move here for good.
