Landing in Canada and reentry US question

I am in US now, I plan to drive into Canada and land my PR in Toronto and return to
US I am looking for person who has done that, I want to know the whole issue of
crossing the boarder, including leaving US, enter into Canada, leaving Canada, and
REENTRY US. I need to find out more, the mroe details the better
If you have done that, please email me as soon as possible. I am kind of panicing now
since the expiration date on my PR is coming up fast

if you have any valid status in USA, or hold citizenship from common wealth
countries, then you can come back into USA after landing. hope this helps.
