Landed in Calgary and back
Last week we landed in Calgary as PR and are back in Germany. Overall we had very good experience with immigration officials and other services in Canada. We also applied for SIN card and provided my relative's address in alberta. We plan to move to Canada in about a year's time. I have a few questions.
1. I saw in the alberta website that we have to apply for the free health insurance within 3 months after coming to Alberta. Is this an absolute deadline from our landing date ?
2. I have a German driving license and want to convert to Alberta license later on. I saw in the alberta website that we have to convert the license within 3 months after coming to Alberta. Is this an absolute deadline from our landing date ?
3. On our way back in the airport there was no immigration check to record our exit. How are the residency days in Canada for a PR recorded ?

1./2. I believe that's three months after you move out there on a permanent basis, not after landing.
3. The government doesn't have to prove how many days you've been in Canada for residency requirements; you do. Also, the airline should have passed your passport details on to immigration when you left.
