In-land Sponsorship, Mr Miller pls?
Hello Andrew :)
I saw on one of the threads you answered that there is no in-land process for conjugal partners. Are there no exceptions to this at all, meaning H&C Grounds if there is a good enough case? I am trying to justify in my mind why they would not allow this for conjugal partner, and yet will allow it for common-law and spouse. It's obvious that conjugal partners can not live together on a permanent basis until they get their PR, so why not let them stay as visitors the same way they would for a spouse who is here on a visitor visa? Without that visitor visa, the spouses would not be able to live together either, unless in the other country, (hence, no need for an in-land sponsorship if they can live *somewhere* together) :( Sorry, I guess I'm just blowing off steam here lol but each direction we take, where we think we'll succeed, something else comes up, it's getting pretty darn depressing :( But I suppose we should just be grateful for the conjugal partner category being added to Family Class. *Back to the drawing board* Regards, PatC |

I didn't create the law, so I cannot answer for sure why it is as it is. But
there was probably a need for limiting an opportunity to abuse the entire inland class. Why not get married and sponsor a spouse then? -- ../..
