Hi NG!!

When you send an application as a spouse from within Canada to the government, do you
get directly a few days later a letter from them confirming that they received your
application or do you just hear from them after lets say three or four months saying
the application is approved or not?!

TIA

Stephanie, No, unfortunately you only hear back if they consider your app incomplete
or need more information. Aside from that, you will receive the AIP letter (approval
in principal) and I explain more about that on my web page at:
http://www.julyfood.com/immigration/immex It may take 3 months or longer before you
get the AIP letter. Otherwise, you just have to wait patiently, something that is
hard to do, I know!

Thanks, Lynn http://www.julyfood.com/immigration

Hi, I didnt receive a letter stating they received it, but I did call 2/3 weeks after
sending to see if they did. And they did. About 2/3 months later I received my letter
stating my application had been approved to be processed within Canada & i could
apply for a employment authorisation.
