Just a suggestion for those waiting...
Hi,
This is just an idea.. so those of you who have time, feel free to humour me. I want do this for those who are still awaiting meds or 90 day letters; I'm hoping this will help, I'd hate to think that it uncovers anything else.
Anyways, this is my situation and you guys can see my timeline in my signature. I think if people were to add their situation in this thread, it may help others to compare and of course yourselves too if you're waiting.
No. of people on application: 1 (sole applicant)
Occupation on list: No
Degree(s): Yes, over 22 years or education
Years of Work Experience: Around 4 years with security clearance (although I doubt that makes a difference)
No. of jobs: 5
Profession: IT Analyst (now law student)
Relatives in Canada: Yes
Age: Under 50 (not sure how much difference this make either)
Citizenship: British born
I can't think of anything else that may have a bearing on the timeline but if anyone does, please add...
Also, when I submitted my application, I included absolutely everything I could think of. For example, I sent P60's, wage slips, bank statements showing all my wages/salaries, letters from employers detailing absolutely everything such as dates, job title/description, salary... etc. I also sent business cards (although these weren't requested). I sent much more than what they requested and I think thats probably better than limiting it (in my opinion) because I don't think you can ever have too much (within reason of course).
Anyways, I hope this helps

Re: Just a suggestion for those waiting...
Here are my details:
No. of people on application: 1 (sole applicant)
Occupation on list: No
Degree(s): MEng & BEnd, 19 years in education
Years of Work Experience: 10 1/2 years
No. of jobs: 1
Profession: Business Analyst
Relatives in Canada: No
Age: Under 35
Citizenship: British born
I didn't send payslips but I did send all my P60's for each year (which I thought was a quicker way, so they didn't have to calculate yearly earnings etc).
Hadn't lived in many places, so they wouldn't have had too many addresses to check.
I have been in the same job since graduation, so my current letter of employment meant no other references, so this wouldn't have taken to long to review.

Re: Just a suggestion for those waiting...
I would also suggest people recording timeline details with trackitt.com, so others can get an idea of when stages are being hit by people with similar dates - only takes a couple of minutes.

no of people on application - 2 me and husband
occupation on list - no
degree - no
years of work experience- 27
number of jobs - going back 30 years which I provided evidence for = 4
profession - Civil Servant and Business owner
relatives in Canada - no
age - me 48 husband 45
citizenship - both Brits
extra - own land buildings and home in Canada
also had to go through crim rehab for errant husband
plus lots of hassle re non accompanying husbands estranged children
plus husband got kids date of brith wrong on the application
its been bumpy ride and it aint over yet
timeline PNP application October 9th positive approval about 7 weeks later
PR application to London CHC December 17th Med request letter dated Jan 29th
Meds taken Feb 20th
Disaster struck at meds dodgy x ray for husband everything put on hold for 3 months until further x ray can be taken
without the disaster timelines dictate passport request would have been with us by now
so it would have been PNP application to passport request in around 5 months and 2 weeks
now absolutely everything crossed timeline best case scenario should be around 8 months
watch this space you will hear me jumping for joy all the way from Nova Scotia or I shall have fed myself to the nearest Bear come June.
Huge luck all

Some of the companies I worked for in the past don't exist anymore (which I detailed in my covering letter) and I have moved around a lot since I was 18, but if they are trying to check all my previous address, well, I just don't know how they would be able to, as for some of them there is going to be no paper-trail to "prove" where I lived.
The more I think about it (and I do), the more I really do come to the conclusion that trying to look for any pattern as to how the applications are processed is a sure-fire route to madness.
